Cartridge heater with thermocouple is also called temperature measuring cartridge heater, which is a cartridge heater with built-in thermocouple. It means that K-type or J-type thermocouple is placed inside the heating tube, which can be used to detect the temperature of the heating tube.
The Jaye custom electric cartridge heaters can be with two type of thermocouples:
Built in K-type thermocouple temperature range: - 200 ~ 800 ℃
Built in J-type thermocouple temperature range: 0 ~ 400 ℃
Electric cartridge heater with thermocouple are generally used in the mold environment with limited space but need to prevent overheating of heating tubes or reflecting mold temperature. If conditions permit, it is recommended to select external thermocouples to measure temperature as far as possible. On the one hand, the external thermocouple can reduce the maintenance cost, on the other hand, the external thermocouple can more accurately reflect the temperature of the mold.
In practice, there is no great difference between the temperature measuring electric cartridge heater and the ordinary electric heating tube, but the temperature probe of the thermocouple is placed inside the heating tube, and then the positive and negative pole wires of the thermocouple are led out from the inner mandrel of the heating tube through the preset wiring, so as to achieve the purpose of insulation protection.
The appearance of cartridge heaters with thermocouple is the same as that of ordinary electric heaters, but the heating tube with temperature measuring function has independent signal wire of thermocouple at the wiring.
