Cartridge heater has always been found to have short-circuit, disconnection, and open circuit of the heating element electrode between the lead wires. At present, due to the continuous improvement of the equipment’s requirements for the small size and high energy of the heating element. Many manufacturers blindly select materials and produce, resulting in the deterioration of the quality of the heating element, and frequent problems. Many customer, when a problem arises, do not analyze and find the problem, and easily come to a conclusion, suspecting that the quality of the magnesium oxide core rod of the electric heating element is defective.
So what are the reasons for the short circuit or open circuit of the cartridge heater?
1. The distance between the two holes of the lead wire is too close, causing the cartridge heater to short circuit.
2. The position of the heating area of the electric heating element has been moved to the lead-out port and exposed to the air.
3. Too high temperature is a sufficient and necessary condition for short circuit caused by the rated voltage of the second lead wire.
4. When in use, the aperture of the mold hole is horn-shaped. This is due to the defect of the module drilling process, which affects the heat conduction.
5. The nozzle of the warhead electric heating element has powder loosening at the end of the lead wire, which affects heat conduction and air breakdown, and causes a short circuit of the cartridge heater.
6. The distance between the inferior sealing silica gel and the first circle of screws at the root of the lead wire is too close.
7. Using iron, chromium and aluminum as the excessive resistivity of the lead wire to increase the temperature of the lead wire of the electric heating element and cause an accident.
