It is mainly composed of a heated bimetallic sheet and a quick acting component (i.e. a switch spring with contacts). When the heating element is turned on, the bimetallic sheet begins to heat, and the current flows parallel to the heating resistance of the cooking area. This causes the bimetal to be heated, which changes shape and triggers the associated contact. When the control shaft position rotates, the built-in cam changes the distance between the bimetallic plate and the regulator contact. The size of the gap can change the time between the opening and closing of the circuit.

Functions
The energy regulator can achieve stepless adjustment between 6% and 70% of the rated power. Under the setting, the heating process continues continuously, and the output power is 100% of the rated output. Longer current on time and shorter circuit off time achieve higher output power, which can be used for heating and frying, for example. Shorter current on time and longer circuit off time achieve lower output power, for example, it can be used for slow cooking.
