What kind of protection does the fuse play?
1. When the circuit breaks down or is abnormal, the current continues to rise, and the increased current may damage some important or valuable components in the circuit, or burn the circuit or even cause a fire. If the fuse is correctly installed in the circuit, then the fuse will fuse and cut off the current when the current abnormally rises to a certain height, thereby protecting the safe operation of the circuit.
2. If a circuit breaker is installed in the circuit, the fuse is not needed. The thermal relay needs to be used in conjunction with the AC contactor. The contact on the thermal relay is disconnected to cut off the control circuit when overloaded. At present, the fuse is generally used for the control circuit.
3. Generally, the fuse has a small thermal melting. Once the current reaches the action value, it will act quickly and provide sensitive overload protection. Once the fuse is broken, it cannot be restored and can only be replaced.
4. Due to its large heat capacity, the fuse has a large operating error when the current is small, so it is often used as a short-circuit current element in the open circuit.
5. The fuse itself has a large arc breaking capacity, so it can be used as a component in the primary circuit.
