What is the difference between the two production processes of silicone rubber heaters?
There are currently two different production processes for the silicone rubber heater: winding type and etching foil type. With different production processes, the silicone rubber heater produced by the production also has different characteristics.

1. Winding type
The wire-wound silicone heater is composed of thin and spaced resistance wires wound on a glass fiber support, which is suitable for heating pads with abnormal shapes. They are durable, so they are suitable for heaters that often need to be removed or reinstalled. They can be manufactured quickly and inexpensively without tools, making them ideal for small-volume projects and prototypes.

2. Etched foil type
The etched foil heater uses a chemically etched foil. They heat up faster, have a higher power density and better heat transfer. Their heat is more uniform and their service life is longer. However, they are more susceptible to damage due to repeated bending. They require pre-determined tool costs, but have a more highly automated manufacturing process, which makes them more cost-effective for high-volume projects.
