How to judge the quality of cartridge heater for mould?
First of all, the surface load of the cartridge heaterof the mold should be calculated first.
The diameter and length of the cartridge heater can be measured with vernier caliper and ruler
Surface load of cartridge heater (w / cm2 (watt density)) = w (electric heating tube power) / D × π × L (CM)
D = diameter of heating tube; (π = 3.1416); (L = length of heating part);
Here we need to note that l is the heating length of the cartridge heater of the mold, not the total length of the electric cartridge heater, because each electric cartridge heater will have heating length and cold zone.
The normal surface load of domestic Die cartridge heater is 5W / cm2, and that of imported mould cartridge heater is 12W / cm2. Beyond this range, the service life of cartridge heater is not very good.
At the same time, it depends on whether the material selection is correct,
When the temperature of the electric head is not suitable, the temperature of the cartridge heater can be selected according to the temperature of the cartridge heater.
The gap between the normal heating pipe and the aperture should be controlled between 0.1-0.2mm
If your die hole is 12mm, the diameter of the Die cartridge heater is 11.8-11.9. If it exceeds this value, the service life of the cartridge heater of the mold will not be very good. If it is less than this value, it will be difficult to take out and replace it after it is damaged due to thermal expansion and cold contraction.
