PTFE Immersion Electric Heater

PTFE heaters are specialized electric heating elements coated with, or wrapped in, PTFE (Teflon®). PTFE or Teflon® heaters have superior chemical resistance properties than metallic type heaters, as well as high temperature stability. PTFE heaters are typically used to heat corrosive chemicals like acids and alkalis, where the heater would not degrade or contaminate the fluid.

PTFE heaters are normally used in something or situation where a metallic heater would corrode or react, and are mandatory when using chemicals in the chemical environment that are aggressive and need high purity.

• Chemical Resistance: PTFE is inert to nearly all chemicals (acids, bases, solvents).
• Non-stick or Easy Clean: Protects against fouling or build up on the heater surface.
• Thermal Stability: Can withstand up to 260°C (500°F) indefinitely.
• Electrical Insulation: Has excellent dielectric properties for electrical safety.
• Non-contaminating: Suitable for ultra-pure processes in semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries.
