Heating capillary thermostats, also called liquid expansion thermostats, are made based on the principles of thermal expansion and contraction. The capillary thermostat has an adjustable working temp and is designed for temp control. Its fast response can well prevent the water heater from generating unacceptable heat and ensure people's safety.
It has the advantages of precise temp control, wide control range, large contact capacity, and high reliability. It is commonly used in electric heaters, electric ovens, frying pans and other household appliances as electric heating controllers. It is also suitable for room temperature control and refrigeration control.
The bulbs of bulbs and capillary thermostats are filled with liquid and can respond quickly to temp changes. When the temperature rises, the bulb fluid expands through the capillary tube into the expandable diaphragm or bellows to open or close the contacts. The bulb and capillary thermostat provide design engineers with the flexibility to place sensors in remote locations. The distal bulb and capillary tube are made of copper or stainless steel and can be up to 13 feet long. These temperature sensors are used as temp and regulation devices or upper limit safety sensors in various applications.
Many models are provided, such as automatic reset, manual reset, dual-pole manual reset and fail-safe manual reset. They are used in commercial and domestic heating and cooling applications. They provide SPST or SPDT type configuration (single pole single throw) (single pole double throw). The electrical rating is up to 30 amps. Accessories can include knobs, bezels, compression fittings, gold contacts or ground terminals.
