Composition and Structure: Sandwich Structure

Products Advantages
Extremely high thermal efficiency and excellent temperature uniformity:
Mica has excellent thermal conductivity (approximately 0.71 W/m·K), far superior to most engineering plastics and ceramics. This allows heat to be transferred quickly and evenly from the heating wire to the entire heating surface.
Excellent insulation and safety:
Mica is a natural inorganic insulating material with very high electrical strength (breakdown strength), typically between 20-50 kV/mm. This allows it to withstand very high voltages without breakdown, ensuring electrical safety.
Extremely fast thermal response:
Due to the thinness of both the mica and the metal sheath, the overall heat capacity of the heater is small. This means it can rapidly heat up to operating temperature after being powered on and cool down quickly after power is cut off. This is crucial for processes requiring precise temperature control or rapid start/stop.
Good mechanical strength and flexibility:
Although mica itself is fragile, when combined with the metal sheath, it forms a "sandwich" structure, giving it a degree of flexibility and resistance to mechanical impact. It can be bent into a certain arc and fitted onto cylindrical or irregular surfaces for heating.
High Temperature Stability:
High-quality mica heating bars can operate stably at temperatures of 400°C - 500°C for extended periods. Some specially designed models can even withstand instantaneous or short-term high temperatures of up to 600°C - 800°C. Mica's melting point is above 1200°C, ensuring its structural stability in high-temperature environments.
Compact Structure and High Power Density:
Due to its thin design (typically 1-3mm thick), mica heating bars are very space-saving, achieving a high surface area power density (W/cm²) and providing powerful heating capabilities.
Long Lifespan and Reliability:
The inorganic material mica does not age, and the resistance alloy wire has an extremely long lifespan under normal operating conditions. As long as it is not used beyond its rated temperature or subjected to mechanical damage, its service life can reach several years or even more than ten years.

They are typically equipped with mounting holes, pressure plates, or brackets, allowing for easy fixation to the heated object using bolts or straps. It can be customized into various shapes, sizes, voltages, and power ratings according to requirements, making it highly adaptable.
