A quartz tube heating element with a core rod, which comprises a quartz tube, a warming wire and a core bar. The two ends of the quartz tube are provided with a connecting-fixing assembly fixedly arranged and electrically connected on a support frame; usually the core rod is a round quartz rod and is positioned in the centre of the quartz tube; the warming wire is in a helical shape and is winded onto the core rod, and the two ends of the warming wire are respectively connected with the corresponding electrical connecting piece in the connecting-fixing assembly. 

The quartz tube heating elementt (1) has a silica based tubular envelope open at both ends, and a wound resistance wire (4) inside the envelope (2). At least one of the ends (6) has an increase or reduction in its diameter for pressure gripping onto a housing or chassis (10) of the cooking appliance. Modification to the diameter of the end of the envelope is done by local heating of the envelope.

The dropping phenomenon of the warming wire can not occur in the working process, the short circuit of the warming wire caused by the dropping phenomenon is avoided, an electric heater is ensured to normally work, and the damage brought for the warming wire and other parts of the electric heater and caused by the short circuit is avoided.
