The Difference Between Built-in Heating and Air Dry Heating on the Life of the Heating Tube?

- May 15, 2020-

In the working environment for dry burning, electric heating tubes can be generally divided into built-in heating and air dry heating.

So what is the difference between these two heating methods? Does it affect the design of the heating tube?

★ Core difference: different heat transfer efficiency

①Electric heating tube with built-in heating, because it is embedded in a hole, its surface heat is easily absorbed by the mold, then under the environment of embedded heating, the heat transfer effect of the electric heating tube is extremely fast.

②The electric heating tube heated by air burning, which is impeded by the heat transfer of air to the electric heating tube, so the heat transfer effect of the electric heating tube is very poor in the environment of air dry heating.

★ Influence on the design of the heating tube:

Since the heat transfer efficiency is different, the surface load design of the electric heating tube is different. The surface load design of embedded heating can be higher than that of the heating rod heated by bare air.

★ The life of the electric heating tube in the two working environments is different:

The life of the embedded heating electric tube is relatively longer than that of the dry burning electric heating tube. But this is not certain. The specific life depends on the actual size and power.
