Research status of energy efficiency evaluation methods for electric heating elements used in smart home appliances


In the current energy efficiency requirements that have been promulgated and implemented in China, the products that carry out energy efficiency certification mainly focus on the whole machine, and there are no regulations on the assessment and test of electric heating elements directly. Only the content tested in some standards will involve the energy efficiency of electric heating elements. For example, the standard of GB 2021.6-2008 "energy efficiency limits and energy efficiency grades for automatic rice cookers" stipulates that the thermocouple temperature measurement point shall be fixed in the 50 mm cylinder in the center of the electric rice cooker. After adding water into the pot, the electric power shall be supplied, and the electric energy consumption (quantity) of the electric rice cooker shall be measured with an electric meter. When the water temperature of the inner boiler rises to 90, immediately cut off the power supply and read the power consumption. This test method can best reflect the energy efficiency of electric heating elements among various domestic household appliances energy efficiency test standards. However, the test results of this method are still the comprehensive energy efficiency results of related components including electric heating elements. Other standards such as gb21519-2008 limited values and grades of energy efficiency for storage type electric water heaters lay particular emphasis on the assessment of thermal insulation performance of products. As for the cop of air conditioning system, it is mainly aimed at the assessment of compressor.
