The band heater of the injection molding machine uses electrothermal alloy wire as the heating material, and uses the mica soft board (sometimes ceramic core) as the insulating material. Next, I will introduce its installation and replacement:
1. After waiting for the mold to cool, remove the hot half from the mold.
2. Remove the positioning ring (the other function of the positioning ring is to fix the thermal nozzle).
3. Mount it on the lifting hole with M3 screws and remove the thermal nozzle. Note that the band heater cannot be squeezed.
4. Remove the snap ring and the heat shield.
5. Hold the head of the hot nozzle, rotate and turn clockwise and pull the heating solid to gradually separate it from the hot nozzle.
6. When installing new wire. The heating nozzle should be as close as possible to the main body of the thermal nozzle, and the front end of the heating circle should reach the main body of the ring groove at the front end of the inner core of the thermal nozzle.
7. Rotate the heating ring clockwise to move it towards the head of the hot nozzle to ensure that the heating wire completely reaches the front of the hot nozzle.
It should be noted that the distribution of the electric heating coil on the hot nozzle should be denser at both ends and sparser in the middle.
8. Install the heat shield. If the heat shield is tight, check whether the band heater is installed in place.
9. Install the circlip and detect the standard resistance value of the heating coil and calculate the power (the standard power is engraved on the heating pad), and detect the resistance value of the thermocouple (0 or less resistance).
When you install and replace the band heater, you can refer to the above suggestions, I believe it will be useful for everyone's installation and replacement.
