In recent years, following the demand for desulfurization projects of large units in power plants, the power of pipeline electric heaters has increased, and some have reached more than 400KW. Electricity energy consumption is high and operating costs are high. It is necessary to consider the following aspects to reduce power as much as possible.
(1) A reasonable description of air volume and temperature rise. The power of the electric air heater is calculated based on the air volume and temperature rise. Under the premise that the air volume and temperature rise have met the demand, it is not advisable to use excessive air volume and excessive temperature rise. As a result, the power of the heater is too large and energy consumption is added. Excessive air volume and temperature rise are not necessary. It is necessary to summarize the thinking, describe it reasonably, and determine the appropriate parameters.
(2) Insulation layer should be added to the outer surface of pipeline electric heater. When Dadu Power Plant (owner) uses electric air heaters, it only heats the pipes at the outlet of the electric heater, and does not conduct any heat preservation treatment on the exterior of the electric heater itself. According to the data, adding an insulation layer on the outer surface of an electric heater can reduce energy consumption by 5% to 10%. Long-term operation can save energy. The power plant (owner) should install an insulation layer on the pipeline. At the same time, add an insulation layer to the electric air heater.
(3) The pressure of the descending pipe-type electric heater itself is lost. When the air that needs heating flows through the inside of the electric air heater, pressure loss will occur. The greater the pressure loss, the greater the energy consumption of the fan. The layout of the electric air heater should be improved and innovated to minimize the pressure loss.
