Heat Treatment For Incoloy 800 Material
Incoloy 800 is a commonly used material for electric heating elements. What processes are needed in manufacturing?
Heat treatment:
The annealing treatment of 800 alloy is generally between 982-1038°C, and the main purpose is to refine the grains. The heat treatment temperature of 800H and 800AT is generally carried out between 1121-1177°C. In addition to the purpose of softening the material, there is also the growth of the grain of the material to improve the creep resistance and stress fracture resistance. Inconel600 has excellent strength and easy processing characteristics. It is mainly used in corrosive environments. It has oxidation resistance in environments up to 1177 degrees. It has heat and corrosion resistance alloys. It has good resistance to intergranular corrosion, stress corrosion cracking and high temperature halogen corrosion. ; Anti-oxidation performance, hot and cold processing performance, low temperature mechanical performance, cold and hot fatigue performance. It has high strength at 650℃, good formability and easy welding. Mainly used in steam engine, water heater, nuclear power plant cooler; caustic soda and VCM production; pulp and paper industry.
Incoloy800 is suitable for F-, Cl-, and ammonia acid media condensation conditions. It also has good corrosion resistance in H2SO4, HNO3 and their mixed solutions. It is resistant to pressure corrosion and polyethylene corrosion. Mainly used in nuclear generators, water heaters, gas coolers, and waste steam boilers. There is another Incoloy800H, although it is not mentioned in the topic, but it is also mentioned here. It is an anti-oxidant medium, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and carburization resistance, high thermal strength, excellent mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, processing performance and welding performance. It is an alloy with good comprehensive corrosion resistance for a wide range of uses. It is resistant to steam, soft water, steam-air-CO3 mixture, various acid solutions, salts, and H2S corrosion. It still has excellent resistance to oxidation, nitriding and argon embrittlement at 600 degrees Celsius. Mainly used in heat exchangers and pipeline systems for petrochemical plants; high-temperature steam pipelines; heating sources with protective layers.
