Do you know what you should know before installing a polyimide thermal foil heater?
1. Do not let the leads hang loosely. Make sure the leads are installed in a fixed position to prevent the flexible polyimide film heater from breaking by pulling on the leads.
2. Do not immerse the flexible film heater in liquids or expose the heater to steam and corrosive gases.
3. Do not operate the heater at a voltage higher than the specified or rated voltage.
4. Do not cut, punch, disassemble or attempt to repair a damaged heater, and avoid contact with sharp objects. Damaged polyimide thermal foil heaters will not work.
5. Do not overlap polyimide thermal foil heaters.
6. The heater can be bent around curved surfaces. However, do not exceed the minimum bend radius (R0.5mm).
7. When the power density is greater than 0.4W/cm2, the polyimide thermal foil heater must be connected to a suitable radiator and cannot be installed in the air alone, especially for high-power density heaters, which need to conduct effective heat or be connected to a suitable heat sink on the device.
