Causes of electric water heater tripping
1. The leakage switch is too small
Touch the plastic part of the switch with your hand. If it feels hot, you can be sure that the leakage switch is too small. Change to a larger leakage switch, usually a 32A leakage switch.
2. Leakage of the heating pipe causes the water heater to automatically trip
a. Focus on testing the insulation performance of the heating tube, whether it is corroded and perforated; repair or replace the heating tube.
b. Check the water heater thermostat.
c. The water heater leakage protector is damaged, repair or replace.
d. The water heater leakage protector trips by mistake, and restarts after resetting.
