Ceramic Infrared Heater For Vacuum Forming

The commonly used heater in vacuum forming is the ceramic infrared heater. Ceramic infrared heaters operate upon radiant heat transfer. Infrared heaters deliver more efficent heat transfer due to radiant heat transfer, as well as consistent and even heating, and the ability to heat the plastic sheet without contact with the surface. Vacuum forming process involves heating a single sheet of plastic to a soft, pliable state and applying a vacuum pressure to form the thickness of plastic sheet over a mold shape. The ceramic infrared heaters maintain heat distribution evenly across the plastic sheet which allows softening of the plastic across the thickness of the sheet as well as to mintain temperature on their surface. This allows customers to achieve high quality formed parts.
