Due to its high temperature performance, ceramic insulated band heater is one of the ideal heating used for the meltblown extruder. The high temperature resistant ceramic insulated heater is made by the ceramic strip and wire threading method, so the power is 0.5 ~ 1.5 times higher than the ordinary mica band heater. The heating material is made of imported high grade resistance heating wire, which is twisted into a spring shape and pierced into the ceramic strip. The outer cover is made of Japanese stainless steel, and the middle part is made of high temperature insulation cotton (aluminum silicate fiberboard) to prevent temperature leakage.
A perforated rather than insulated shroud with a cowl, plenum and blower is designed for use on plastic extrusion equipment where some processes generate excessive heat from pressure. When a predetermined temperature is exceeded, the blower will engage, cooling the process.
Serrated Sheath: Sheath material is resistant to heat and corrosion. Unique Serrations maximize flexibility, increase surface contact and provide easy opening and installation of the heater, eliminating the necessity of two piece band heaters up to 18″ in diameter.
Simplified Installation, Additional Energy Conservation: Ceramic Band Heaters can be manufactured in widths much greater than what is practical in Mica Band Heaters, eliminating heat losses between gaps in narrow heaters and simplifying installation.
